Since Monday afternoon (14/11/2022), heavy rainfall has been occurring in the Ngeposari Sub-District area. Some residents in the river banks have been very cautious about flooding possibilities due to the overflowing, prompting them to move their livestock as the river's water level began encroaching on their properties. Volunteers from Ngeposari have been closely monitoring and assisting in the evacuation of livestock since Monday, as the heavy rain persisted.
By Wednesday (16/11/2022), the persistent heavy rain, along with strong winds and thunder, resulted in hundreds of trees falling in various areas of Ngeposari village. Nearly 24 houses belonging to villagers suffered significant damage to their roofs.
Despite going through the heavy rain and the limited access caused by numerous fallen trees, volunteers still rushed to the affected areas. Not only did Ngeposari's volunteers respond, but also volunteers from neighboring villages, search and rescue teams, and government officers also joined forces with the villagers to aid in the evacuation process.
